BEHIND THE SCENES
Based on the Tibetan Buddhist concept of Bardo, the setting of THE AFTERDEATH is a transitory realm between death and rebirth, where souls across different periods and cultures travel through in order to continue the cycle of reincarnation.
The comic series explores different storylines set in THE AFTERDEATH with its first instalment centering around the existence of a monastic society created by the soul of a Templar knight who died during the Second Crusade.

Johanna A. Liporado is a Malaysian writer & illustrator, beginning her illustration career under the online persona "MrsHumanCar".
THE AFTERDEATH represents an amalgamation of her interests in the topics of history, philosophy, science, and religion.
